\nPourtant, la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 mitig\u00e9e\u00a0: nous avons re\u00e7u une personne \u00e0 l\u2019esprit ferm\u00e9, raciste et x\u00e9nophobe. Ensuite, deux personnes que nous attendions se sont d\u00e9sist\u00e9es, il \u00e9tait trop tard pour les remplacer.

\nAbout helpers, they are really here and it is still so magical!<\/strong>
\nYet the end of the year was not excellent: we hosted a mind closed, racist and xenophobic person. Later, we expected two helpers but they couldn\u2019t come. It was too late to find other persons.\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mais les premiers helpers de 2015 ont effac\u00e9 les doutes et les mauvais souvenirs\u00a0!
\nMiikkael et Siobhan se sont rencontr\u00e9s \u00e0 Lyon et ont pris le m\u00eame train. Le premier contact avec eux et facile et plaisant comme c\u2019est souvent le cas. Nous essayons de parler fran\u00e7ais pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 leur demande, mais Siobhan a plus de difficult\u00e9. Parfois l\u2019anglais devient n\u00e9cessaire.\"\"<\/a>
\nAu Charbinat, Siobhan s\u2019\u00e9merveille de tout et d\u00e9veloppe un joli talent de jardini\u00e8re. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Miikkael va broyer beaucoup beaucoup beaucoup de bois car c\u2019est la saison qui veut \u00e7a.\"\"<\/a>
\nBut the early 2015 helpers have erased the doubts and bad memories!<\/strong>
\nMiikkael and Siobhan met in Lyon and took the same train. The first contact with them is easy and pleasant as it is often. We try to speak French because they prefer, but it\u2019s more difficult for Siobhan. Sometimes English spoken becomes necessary.<\/strong>\"\"<\/a>
\nIn Charbinat, Siobhan is amazed and becomes a good gardener. Miikkael will crush many many many wood because it is the season that needs it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pendant leur s\u00e9jour, c\u2019est moi qui taille les rosiers, Paul est partout, il plante, repique, arrose, coupe, il n\u2019arr\u00eate pas\u00a0! Et il explique patiemment comment faire telle nouvelle t\u00e2che.
\n\"\"<\/a>C\u2019est le d\u00e9marrage du jardin, il faut donc nettoyer, d\u00e9sherber, d\u00e9roncer, et commencer les plantations.
\nMais le week-end, Siobhan retrouve son ch\u00e9ri \u00e0 Lyon.
\nMiikkael m\u2019accompagne \u00e0 la cueillette de l\u2019ail des ours\u00a0: il pense reconna\u00eetre une plante de Finlande. Il est le plus septentrional de tous nos helpers, il a autant l\u2019habitude d\u2019aller en Laponie que Paul d\u2019aller au march\u00e9 de Morestel.
\nDuring their stay, I prune roses, Paul is everywhere, he plants, transplants, plants out, waters, cuts, he never stops! And he patiently explains how to do this or that.<\/strong>
\nIt is the start of the garden, so you have to clean, weed, remove brambles (or wildberries?) and start planting.<\/strong>
\nBut on weekend, Siobhan comes to see her boyfriend in Lyon.<\/strong>
\nMiikkael accompanies me to the picking of bear garlic: he thinks he recognizes a plant he saw in Finland. He\u2019s the northernmost of all our helpers, he is accustomed to go to Lapland as Paul is accustomed to go to the market at Morestel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Avec la rencontre de plus de quarante helpers en trois ans, nous connaissons bien ce syst\u00e8me d\u2019\u00e9changes.

\nWe have hosted all kinds of people who, while being different from each other, share for choosing to register on HelpX.<\/strong>
\nThus, there are common points among all. The discussions are numerous, varied and they bring a lot to everyone.<\/strong>
\nThe experiences of our helpers are also varied. Sometimes we all feel true anger!<\/strong>
\nSo we specify our point of view: hosting helpers is to receive in our privacy people we respect and to whom we must give as they give us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cTravailler plus pour ne rien gagner\u201d titre triomphalement une chronique<\/a> parue sur \u201cLe Huffingtonpost.\u201d Je d\u00e9nonce moi aussi les h\u00f4tes malhonn\u00eates, les profiteurs, ceux qui font travailler du personnel non salari\u00e9 la semaine enti\u00e8re, sans se pr\u00e9occuper de l\u2019aspect humain. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 reste rare, mais il suffit \u00e0 corrompre la r\u00e9putation de helpX.
\nLe Huffingtonpost a choisi un effet facile et l\u2019article laisse entendre qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une pratique courante, alors je d\u00e9plore cette m\u00e9thode\u00a0 qui a le m\u00e9rite de d\u00e9noncer, mais qui donne trop d’importance \u00e0 des agissements minoritaires.
\n\u201cWork more to win nothing\u201d a triumphant (written in French) chronic<\/a> on \u201cLe Huffingtonpost\u201d entitles. I also denounce dishonest hosts, the profiteers, those who ask to work non-paid staff the whole week, regardless of being human. This\u00a0process is rare, but enough to spoil the reputation of HelpX.<\/strong>
\nThe Huffingtonpost choses an easy effect and the article suggests that it is a common practice, so I deplore this method: in spite denouncing, it gives too much importance to minority acts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Je ne pense pas que HelpX soit une solution d\u2019avenir m\u00eame si certains sont helpers pendant des ann\u00e9es. Pour ma part je dois toujours retourner un jour l\u00e0 o\u00f9 j\u2019ai mes racines, et j\u2019ai du mal \u00e0 comprendre ceux qui choisissent de prendre d\u00e9finitivement la route.
\nCependant, HelpX peut repr\u00e9senter une transition, aussi bien pour quelqu\u2019un qui se cherche, que pour quelqu\u2019un qui prend des vacances et retrouvera ensuite sa routine.
\nEt cette transition, dans une maison confortable o\u00f9 l\u2019on est re\u00e7u comme faisant partie de la famille, peut \u00eatre d\u2019une tr\u00e8s grande richesse.
\nI don\u2019t think HelpX being a solution in the long term, even if some are helpers during years. I myself have always to return where I have my roots, and I understand with difficulty those who decide to be travelers for ever.<\/strong>
\nHowever, HelpX may be a transition, both for anyone who searches himself, or for someone who takes a holiday and then return to his routine.<\/strong>
\nAnd this transition can be very fruitful, being in a comfortable house where someone is received as a part of the family.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Quand Miikkael et Siobhan sont repartis, nous n\u2019avions pas l\u2019impression d\u2019avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 des exploiteurs sans scrupules. Ils ont l\u2019intention de revenir, d\u2019ailleurs nous avons gard\u00e9 en otage les bottes de Miikkael.
\nD\u2019autres sont partis, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 helpers quelques semaines, puis voisins pendant plus d\u2019un an\u00a0! Pour f\u00eater leur nouvelle vie qui commence en Anjou, David et Maria nous ont concoct\u00e9 une excellente paella. Le d\u00e9m\u00e9nagement \u00e9tant pr\u00eat, nous avons fourni le mat\u00e9riel de cuisine – sauf la po\u00eale !

Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019excellents voisins, ils nous manquent. Nous esp\u00e9rons qu\u2019ils trouveront le travail qu\u2019ils d\u00e9sirent et que notre r\u00e9gion ne leur a pas offert.
\nWhen Miikkael and Siobhan left away, we did not felt of having been unscrupulous exploiters. They plan to return, moreover we kept Miikkael\u2019s boots as hostages.<\/strong>
\n Others left after being helpers few weeks and then neighbors for over a year! To celebrate their new life that begins in Anjou, David and Maria have concocted an excellent paella. The move was ready, we have provided cooking equipment\u00a0– except the pan!<\/strong>
\n\"\"<\/a> They were good neighbors, we miss them. We hope that they will find the job they want and that our region has not offered them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David et Maria ont pris la route avec tout le chargement qu\u2019ils pouvaient emporter. Miikkael avait d\u2019ailleurs donn\u00e9 un solide coup de main pour descendre leur mobilier par la fen\u00eatre. Le 3 avril, Siobhan a pris le bus pour Lyon, et Miikkael a profit\u00e9 d\u2019une place dans la voiture d\u2019Ariane et Renato pour se rendre en Italie.
\nDavid and Maria hit the road with all the load they could carry. Miikkael had also given a strong hand to get off their furniture out the window. On April 3th, Siobhan took the bus to Lyon and Miikkael took advantage of a space in the car of Ariane and Renato to go to Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n
