Il est inutile, illusoire, de chercher un progr\u00e8s social dans un cadre capitaliste, car c\u2019est en contradiction avec ce qui en constitue l\u2019essence elle-m\u00eame. D\u2019autres que moi ne seront pas convaincus sans doute, mais moi je fr\u00e9quente Kropotkine depuis longtemps et je me suis toujours sentie en phase avec son id\u00e9al anarchiste.<\/strong>
A few years ago I bought in Spain \u00ab\u00a0The Conquest of Bread\u00a0\u00bb by Kropotkin (1842 – 1921). It says that the very first thing to do in the context of a revolution is not rhetoric, it is to ensure that everyone has enough to eat. My level of Spanish forces me to read slowly, which is not a bad thing, it will be a deeper, more in-depth reading. Leafing through the pages, picking at random, I find in Kropotkin’s beautiful, flowing handwriting ideas of very great importance; moreover they are expressed in all simplicity, it is very easy to understand. He explains that the very principle of capitalism (we did not speak of liberalism in the 19th century) is to get rich. It is useless, illusory, to seek social progress within a capitalist framework, because it is in contradiction with what constitutes its very essence. Others than me will probably not be convinced, but I have been seeing Kropotkin for a long time and I have always felt in tune with his anarchist ideal.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Certainly, at all times and everywhere there are people sensitive to human well-being and in favor of greater equality. I do not deny real progress in many areas. Unfortunately, this is an unequal fight and we are far from the egalitarian world we are entitled to dream of. When Angelo talks about car parks in Tunisia or automatic checkouts in supermarkets, it breaks my heart. Myself, who lacks nothing, I see my purchasing power dropping month after month and I don’t know what will happen tomorrow.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n
