Jeong-Im venait de Cor\u00e9e du Sud, Joanna de Ta\u00efwan, et si Rubina venait d’Angleterre, une bonne part de sa culture est indienne : elle m’a montr\u00e9 de magnifiques photos de mariage avec des costumes traditionnels, et son excellent curry est typique !
\nJeong-Im came from South Korea, Joanna from Taiwan, and, in spite of coming from UK, Rubina knows a lot about Indian culture. She showed me wonderful photos of a wedding with traditional suits and her excellent curries are typical.

\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parfois j’aime bien faire parler les chiffres : savoir que deux personnes sont venues d’Asie, et qu’une troisi\u00e8me y a son origine. Si l’on ajoute Canada, \u00c9tats-Unis et Am\u00e9rique du Sud, on totalise neuf helpers venant des continents am\u00e9ricains. D’Europe, sept repr\u00e9sentent six pays diff\u00e9rents. Seule Claudi est venue d’Afrique. Pour diff\u00e9rentes raisons nous n’avons pas encore pu recevoir des Australiens qui nous ont propos\u00e9 leur aide.
\nSometimes I like to listen the numbers: to know that two persons came from Asia, and a third has her origin there<\/strong>. If we add Canada, USA and South America, we have a total of nine helpers who came from the American continents. From Europe seven account for six different countries. Only Claudi came from Africa. For various reasons we could not yet receive Australians who have offered their help.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00c0 peine arriv\u00e9e au Charbinat, le 22 juin, Joanna a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9sherber, comme si elle venait de rentrer chez elle ! Je lui ai propos\u00e9 un tr\u00e8s petit tour en v\u00e9lo\u00a0: pas une jolie balade, je voulais seulement acheter le journal o\u00f9 il \u00e9tait \u00e0 nouveau question du livre de S\u00e9bastien.
\nJust arrived at Charbinat, on June the 22th, Joanna began weeding, as if she were going home! I offered her a very short journey on bike: not a nice ride, I only wanted to buy the newspaper, there was a new article about S\u00e9bastien’s book.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Comme je disais \u00abbonjour\u00bb \u00e0 quelqu’un, Joanna m’a dit : \u00abtu connais tout le monde ! – Non !\u00bb et \u00e0 ce moment pr\u00e9cis, une voix a dit \u00abbonjour Pascaline\u00bb et une femme en v\u00e9lo nous a d\u00e9pass\u00e9es.
\nAs I was saying \u00abhello\u00bb to somebody, Joanna told me: \u00abyou know everybody! – No!\u00bb and at the same moment, a voice said \u00abbonjour Pascaline\u00bb and a woman on her bike passed us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rubina et Ana-Paula m\u2019avaient accompagn\u00e9e \u00e0 la f\u00eate de la musique \u00e0 Passins. Ce jour-l\u00e0, Manwei m\u2019avait invit\u00e9e chez elle \u00e0 une f\u00eate chinoise, quelques jours plus tard. Manwei vient de Chine, son mari est fran\u00e7ais.\u00a0 J\u2019ai fait l\u2019\u00e9cole \u00e0 leur second fils il y a une douzaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es.
\nRubina and Ana Paula accompanied me to the music festival in Passins. That day, Manwei invited me to a Chinese party in her home, a few days later. Manwei comes from China, her husband is French. I was the teacher of their second son twelve years ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manwei enseigne le chinois \u00e0 quelques \u00e9l\u00e8ves, jeunes et vieux, le doyen va avoir quatre-vingts ans. Elle propose un spectacle avec ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves, ses fils et elle-m\u00eame. Elle parle le mandarin\u00a0: Joanna a tout compris, et a pu \u00e9changer avec elle. Pour Manwei, il est tr\u00e8s rare j\u2019imagine de rencontrer quelqu\u2019un qui parle sa langue\u00a0!
\nManwei teaches Chinese to some students, young and old, the oldest will be eighty years. She organises a show with her students, her sons and herself. She speaks Mandarin: Joanna understood everything and was able to exchange words with her. For Manwei, it is very rare I suppose to meet someone who speaks her language!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Il nous est difficile d\u2019imaginer le pays lointain de Joanna. En France, tant de choses viennent de Ta\u00efwan que nous n\u2019imaginions pas les beaux paysages de cette grande \u00eele : ce n’est pas seulement la concentration d’usines que nous supposions ! Nous ne connaissons bien entendu pas plus la Cor\u00e9e du Sud que Ta\u00efwan.
\nIt is difficult for us to imagine the distant land of Joanna. In France, so many things come from Taiwan that we can\u2019t imagine the beautiful landscapes of this great island: there are there much more than a lot of factories. We know of course no more about South Korea than about Taiwan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 Grenoble tous les quatre, nous avons laiss\u00e9 Rubina et Joanna visiter la ville. Rubina est partie d\u00e9but juillet, puis Joanna quelques jours apr\u00e8s. Elles ont toutes les deux eu beaucoup de cueillettes \u00e0 faire. Apr\u00e8s leur d\u00e9part, nous sommes rest\u00e9s seuls quelques jours, Paul et moi, avant l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de…
\nThe four of us, we went to Grenoble, Paul and I left Rubina and Joanna visiting the city. Rubina went away at the begining of July, and Joanna a few days after. They both had a lot of harvesting to do. After they left, Paul and I were alone for a few days, before the arrival of…<\/strong><\/p>\n
