J\u2019avais trouv\u00e9 par hasard un livre \u00e9crit par Robert De Joly, un pionnier de la sp\u00e9l\u00e9ologie, qui lui-m\u00eame a en quelque sorte succ\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 Martel, am\u00e9liorant le mat\u00e9riel et consacrant son existence \u00e0 l\u2019exploration des gouffres. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs le titre du livre, \u00ab\u00a0ma vie aventureuse d\u2019explorateurs d\u2019ab\u00eemes\u00a0\u00bb. J\u2019ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 lire \u00e0 mon p\u00e8re les cent soixante pages de l\u2019ouvrage.<\/strong>

Le probl\u00e8me avec son livre, c\u2019est que l\u2019auteur est un donneur de le\u00e7ons tr\u00e8s imbu de lui-m\u00eame\u00a0: je n\u2019aurais pas aim\u00e9 \u00eatre de ses collaborateurs, il n\u2019a pas l\u2019air de bien les traiter alors qu\u2019ils lui sont indispensables. Mais c\u2019est toujours lui qui descend le premier et joue le beau r\u00f4le. De Joly a fait un travail remarquable mais a beaucoup trop manqu\u00e9 de modestie.<\/strong>
